The Novel Coffee Shop is a cosy, community-focused café nestled in the heart of Southend, offering far more than just great coffee. Run by Southend Mencap, it brings people together in a warm and welcoming space where conversation flows easily and everyone feels at home.

With a strong social purpose at its core, the café supports adults with learning disabilities by helping them build confidence, gain valuable experience and develop independence — all while serving up quality drinks and a friendly atmosphere.
