History of the name "The Hutch 77" - The Hutch, may be Canvey Island's popular American-style takeaway, but it has a touching story behind its name, proving that behind every business is a story worth knowing. Owner Adam Gill named it in memory of his best friend, who passed away. Both were passionate football fans, and "77" was his jersey number. I'm sure he'd love what his name now represents!
